I am so excited to finally announce that I have been promoted to the position of Co-Artistic Director at Ghostlight Ensemble!
I will be working alongside Holly Robison as we kick-off our 2024-2025 season and our 1st main production since 2019 that we have affectionately dubbed: Season 8: “It’s About Time”
My first appearance with Ghostlight was in 2019 in a reading of The Thirteenth Chair and I was scheduled to make my Chicago theatre debut in the Ghostlight production of Much Ado About Nothing until it was canceled due to COVID-19.
It definitely feels like a full circle moment going from having my Chicago theater debut canceled due to a global pandemic to helping lead the company back into scene for our eighth season and our first season with a full in-person production since going virtual.
Ghostlight’s first production of the season will be Alabama Story by Kenneth Jones, a drama about censorship, book banning and Civil Rights set within the framework of 1950s racial tensions. Co-Artistic Director Holly Robison will be directing and performances will begin at the end of September as a part of Banned Book Week.
We have a lot more exciting work coming up that you don’t want to miss! You can see our full season line-up here on the Ghostlight website and you can help support our season by joining us on Saturday, August 10th at our Season Kick-Off Happy Hour at My Buddy’s from 3pm to 5pm. Find tickets here.
